Eurothread Lift

A minimally invasive thread lift that physically lifts sagging skin and stimulates collagen production. Immediate results that continue to improve over time.

What Is a Eurothread Lift?

A Eurothread Lift uses FDA-approved, resorbable surgical sutures placed beneath the skin to physically lift, tighten, and contour the face and neck. Unlike dermal fillers that add volume, EuroThreads provide structural lift by repositioning skin and soft tissue that has begun to sag. The procedure is minimally invasive, produces immediate visible results, and continues to improve for months afterward.

EuroThreads are made of polydioxanone (PDO), the same biocompatible material used in surgical sutures for over 30 years. Once placed, the threads work on two fronts: they provide an immediate mechanical lift, and they stimulate your body's natural collagen production around each thread, thickening and smoothing the skin over the following months.

How a Eurothread Lift Works

During the procedure, dissolvable PDO threads are placed beneath the skin at strategic points using a fine needle or cannula. The threads gently lift sagging tissue into a more youthful position. Over the following weeks, your body responds to the threads by producing new collagen along each one, creating a scaffold of support that outlasts the threads themselves.

The threads fully dissolve within four to six months through a natural process called hydrolysis, leaving no scar tissue. The collagen scaffold they stimulate continues to hold the skin in its lifted position for 12 to 15 months. The procedure can take as little as 15 minutes for a targeted area or up to an hour for a comprehensive treatment.

Why Patients Choose Auveau for Eurothread Lift

Thread placement is a technique-dependent procedure. The angle, depth, and number of threads must be calibrated to the patient's anatomy and the degree of laxity in each area. Poor placement produces minimal lift or unnatural contours. Precision is everything.

Our lead provider, Chrissy Gray Lim, PA-C, evaluates your facial structure, skin elasticity, and laxity patterns before recommending a thread lift plan. She selects thread type, placement points, and technique based on your specific goals, whether that means lifting the jowls, defining the jawline, or addressing the lower face and neck together.

The Eurothread Lift is an excellent option for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who want visible lifting without surgery. It can also be combined with dermal fillers and neurotoxins for a comprehensive non-surgical rejuvenation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Eurothread Lift and a surgical facelift?
A surgical facelift involves incisions, general anesthesia, and weeks of recovery. A Eurothread Lift uses dissolvable sutures placed beneath the skin with local numbing, takes under an hour, and has significantly less downtime. It is best suited for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who want lifting without surgery.
How long do Eurothread Lift results last?
The PDO threads dissolve naturally within 4 to 6 months, but the collagen they stimulate creates a structural scaffold that supports the lift for 12 to 15 months. Some patients choose maintenance treatments to extend their results.
What is recovery like after a thread lift?
Recovery varies by individual, but most patients experience mild swelling, soreness, and minor bruising for a few days. You should avoid strenuous activity and excessive facial movement for the first week. Most patients return to normal activities within a few days.
Can a Eurothread Lift be combined with other treatments?
Yes. There are no contraindications to combining EuroThreads with neurotoxins or dermal fillers. We recommend allowing neurotoxins and fillers to fully set before having threads placed. Your provider will advise on the best timing and sequence during your consultation.
Who is a good candidate for a Eurothread Lift?
The ideal candidate has mild to moderate skin laxity, particularly in the lower face, jowls, or neck. It is an excellent option for patients who want visible lifting but are not ready for or do not need surgical intervention. A consultation will determine if a thread lift is the right approach for your concerns.
